International Youth Choir

At the heart of the International Youth Choir is joy.

The joy of singing together, of feeling the strength of a group moving toward a shared goal, and of discovering one’s own voice within a collective sound.

At IYC, we sing and laugh in all languages and across many musical styles. Music is explored horizontally, as a wide landscape where every style is worth discovering and every song has something to teach us. Through play, shared songs, and creative exploration, children experience how working together builds confidence and curiosity.

Our approach is simple: learning by doing.

Children explore music and language through practice, creative writing, and group composition. By singing, inventing, trying, and laughing together, music, words, and imagination grow side by side.

At the International Youth Choir, songs are the starting point for learning. Through singing, children discover harmony, rhythm, multiple voices, and musical structure by doing. Musical ideas are explored naturally, through sound, listening, and collective practice.

The repertoire is multilingual, mainly in English and French, and spans many musical styles. Children learn to listen to one another, follow a conductor, and sing as a group while discovering the uniqueness of their own voice. No musical background is required, only a love of singing, curiosity, and the joy of learning together.
